Understanding patterns of biodiversity is necessary to guide broad initiatives aimed at restoring natural habitats was argued by two of Pacific Agroecology LLC’s scientists in a paper about to appear in the journal Restoration Ecology. Dr. Joshua Viers (PAE’s Chief Executive Officer) and Mehrey Vaghti (PAE’s Senior Riparian Ecologist) argued that large scale restoration efforts need to pay more attention to broad patterns of biodiversity to better understand restoration needs in their paper Multiscale Patterns of Riparian Plant Diversity and Implications for Restoration.
